The business side of coaching
A coaching certification and leadership experience alone do not create a prosperous coaching business.
In recent years, I have met many coaches who had excellent training and a collection of impressive certifications, but they were very often disappointed about their ability to build a client base. Creating a SEO optimized website and a beautiful Linkedin page are modern business cards, but rarely do they create clients. It is a classic referral business. Building a coaching business is an art that I myself have successfully learned from my coaches and mentors over the last five years and am now happy to pass on this experience.
It’s an apprentice based business, you learn from skilled masters and you learn what you teach.
Why focussing on the business side of coaching?
What does the Coaching for Coaches program include?
– We work together on your personal vision – What do you want to bring into the world? What is your heart burning for?
– Together we create your entrepreneur identity, which is necessary for the next growth phase. How strongly do you already live the identity of the self-employed entrepreneur? Which identity do you need to say goodbye to? What needs to be invited in?
– We slow down your thinking, through mindfulness, meditation and slow walks, so you can get more in touch with your intuition and make the essential decisions from there. Coaching is an inside-out game.
– We create for you a proposal menu to create your ideal client.
– Along the way you fill and sharpen coaching tool box.
For whom is the program designed?
What I require of you…
– Experience: You have a coaching certification and first coaching experience (100h coaching+).
– Growth Mindset: You are aware that from your identity and your self-image your business develops from the inside out. I call it growth along the Fibonacci series (1,1,2,3,5,8), which I use in my logo. You can only take your clients as deep as you have gone yourself.
– Investment: You are aware of your strengths and shadows and have already invested significant time, energy and money in the last years to develop yourself personally.
– Reflection: You regularly take time for meditation and reflection.
– Abundance Mindset: You have sufficient financial reserves to invest in your fees, especially in your development and are not dependent on living off your fees in the first year.
For whom is the coaching for coaches not suitable:
– You are looking for methods, concepts and knowledge that an academy can teach you. You still want another certificate.
– You are looking for someone who will make uncomfortable decisions for you, because it will be someone else’s fault if things go wrong.
– You are looking for someone who tells you what to write on your website or Linkedin profile, and then the clients will come by themselves.
Coaching is an investment with ROI
As a former CFO, for me coaching is in essence an investment and not an expense, whereas coaching is an expense for tax purposes and is not depreciated. However, the economic impact is more like an investment in a more productive machine. Your investment in an experienced guide will generally allow you to generate significantly higher revenues over the long term than you would without the experience. In addition, a substantial investment in yourself is an authentic example to clients of why it pays to invest in coaching. Which, after all, is what you expect from them.
The appropriate questions to ask:
What future revenue stream will be possible for you as a result of coaching that would be unlikely without the investment?
On a three-year view, how plausible is it that you will have earned 10x your investment?
APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM
My Apprenticeship is scheduled for one year with a total of 24 sessions. It is available as a virtual format via Zoom, as well as in presence in my office or as a Camino Coaching Walk. At the beginning, we design the Apprenticeship program according to your goals and requirements, including some key performance indicators that you can use to measure the effectiveness of the process after one year. Your so-called leading indicators. (e.g. number of invitations, number and value of your collected “NOs”, average fee of your top 3 agreements).
A sales target of 100.000 € and more should be plausible for you within two years. You have sufficient funds to finance the initial phase from other sources and you are ready to build the foundation for a Fibonacci growth.
For the face-to-face format please allow one morning or afternoon in Munich, for the virtual Zoom Coaching Sessions plan 2 hours. If needed, we can arrange an espresso coaching impulse, a 20 min impulse at the right place can quickly have thousands of Euros of impact.
Unlimited virtual coaching via email or WhatsApp / Signal.
For the Apprentice Program you invest for twelve months and 24 sessions 60.000 € plus VAT.

THE PILGRIM
The Pilgrim is similar to the Apprentice, but only once a month. You run more at your pace, which is particularly suitable if you prefer to stand on two feet and are still pursuing a full-time job. This will make the transition to later self-employment easier, as you can already start with a good side business.
The presence format in my Munich office for twelve months is 36.000 € plus VAT.

- unlimited virtual access to “on the spot” Whats-App/Signal or Email Coaching
- access to Martin’s tool box and special videos
- Option to participate in a Camino coaching day with other clients
A hybrid of presence and online is also available.
SHARPEN THE TOOLS
My smallest format for coaches I call “Sharpen-the-Tools” in the scope of 6 session and amounts to 12.000 EUR plus VAT.
- Includes 6x coaching sessions (over a maximum of one year) online 90min to max 120min

PICK MY BRAIN
If you want to pick my brain for 120 min, you might want to consider a Camino-Coaching session with me. Either in person or the virtual equivalent. I will block a morning or an afternoon and you can ask me anything.
Your investment for 120 min online or 3 hours in presence is 3.000 € plus VAT.
What tools do I learn in an Apprentice program?
